The number of rape cases recorded daily in Nigeria calls for more stringent measures to be taken to help save the lives of young girls and women.

One of the measures should be increased 'aggressive' awareness which should target more boys and men about the implications of sexual violence against girls and women.

Early and inclusive awareness is a major tool for ending rape and other forms of sexual violence.
